From Behind The Eyes Of An Angel .

Dunblane Memorial.

We are off to school, to learn and play,

be with our friends, a jolly school day.
In the gym we assemble, take our usual places,
this our favourite lesson, a host of smiling faces.

It's such fun learning, enjoying work and play,
soon someone will come, a man to darken our day.
He bursts into our gym, in his hand gripped a gun,
the innocent children, hey, maybe  its fun.

The screaming has started, the shots ring out,
my friend beside me falls, but He's not playing about.
Our teacher ran forward, She would not yield,
for the love of Her children, Her body a shield.

Why have you killed us,  what had we done,
our little lives over, before they've begun.
An evil came to school, took us all away,
he will go to Hell, in Heaven We will stay.

Don't cry Mummy,
 Daddy please don't cry,
we will always love you, your little Angels in the sky.

Dunblanes innocent children were slain,
we must not forget, their families grief and pain.
The severe loss, we can never know,
but in our hearts, we can keep them so.

Can I hold my head up high,
say "I'm proud to be a man",
with this mindless slaughter of children,
well, perhaps I never can.
